Need something to do this Friday night? Join me downtown this Friday October 5th for Lakeland’s First Friday celebration. This is a monthly event, but October’s theme is a focus on local artists. To quote:

"The October First Friday will introduce a renewed focus on local artists, both visual and performing, around Downtown during First Friday. Every month we will have certain areas designated for artists to exhibit their talent and wares."

They are hoping to have acoustical musicians, photographers, painters, sculptors, weavers, woodcarvers, poets, dancers, and maybe even mimes (kinda scary!). Anyway, I will be one of the artists with a display. My table will be set up right outside Pottery by the Park – next to Harry’s restaurant on Kentucky Ave. What a great location! So please – come stop by the booth. I will be having a raffle giveaway – fill out your name and information that night to enter to win a free photo session, 1 8×10, and 25 Christmas cards. As if this weren’t exciting enough – I am hoping that night will also be the opening night of my display of images I took for Pottery by the Park. I teamed up with the owner to create some beautiful images of some of the pottery pieces they sell, as well as kids and families enjoying the fun of creating their own pottery works of art. Here’s a sample of some of the pictures that will be on display soon.
