I realized when I woke up this morning that yesterday was Tuesday and I never posted anything on the blog. Ooops! Please forgive me. I don’t really have some amazing excuse either, I just plain forgot. So better late than never, but today I’d like to share with you an engagement session I had last month. This shoot had to be rescheduled three times for various reasons. But this day finally came and the weather was gorgeous, so I couldn’t have been happier. It took a little while to get used to working with adults. It had been several years since I’d done an engagement shoot. It was so weird – when I told this couple to do something, they actually did it! Amazing. 🙂 All my favorite little kiddos could take a lesson from them! And it was so nice to really focus on this couple and the love they share. They were so cute together. I wish them all God’s blessings on their upcoming wedding this spring.
Hollis Gardens is a favorite location for this couple to spend time together. The groom-to-be also loves plants and trees. It was important to him to incorporate the colors, textures, shapes, and sizes of the beautiful plant life the gardens contain. This proved to be a fun challenge for me and I love how some of these turned out as a result.
I think this was a eucalyptus tree (I could be wrong!) that he liked…
No plants in this one, but I added a little bit of texture…
The ring…
I just love their interaction in this one, as well as palm branches behind them…
I’ll be honest – I’ve never really noticed a lot of the plant life in these gardens. But I thought these giant palms were so cool and framed them so well…
A Trio collage with some of my favorites of the day…
And probably my overall favorite image (they will have this one on display at their wedding reception with a signature mat around it)…
I hope everyone is having a great week! My little Sydney turns 2 on Friday, so we’ll be busy partying hard all weekend. I’ll also be doing her 2 year photo shoot on Sunday on the campus of Florida Southern College. This is where I met my husband, so it’ll be a walk down memory lane. I’ll share my favorites soon.
