I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday! We went up to Blue Ridge, GA with my husband’s family. We do this almost every year. It was really fun with Sydney this year. She enjoyed taking nature walks, letting lady bugs crawl on her hand and fingers, and playing with the three dogs that belonged to various family members. I enjoyed not having access to a computer or a cell phone for 4 entire days, reading an entire fictional novel in one weekend, and catching up on some much needed sleep. I took my camera but didn’t use it much. I did get this shot of Sydney playing with a pine cone – something she’s never seen before. It got so cold while we were there that I had to go buy this adorable pink jacket for her to wear outside. The "Florida" coat I had for her just didn’t cut it!
When we arrived at the airport on Sunday to fly home, they had the whole place decorated for Christmas and had Christmas music playing overhead. I don’t know why – but Christmas (and really the entire holiday season) has really caught me by surprise this year. I’m a December baby (I turn 30 next week!), so I LOVE Christmas. But I am totally unprepared and don’t feel mentally ready yet. It’s crazy! I look forward to breaking out the decorations next week when I come up for air after my last week of Christmas portrait sessions. I hope all of you are enjoying the holiday season so far! I’m working as fast as I can on everyone’s print orders. Thank you all for your patience!
