This portrait was our Christmas gift to my husband's mom.  His mom wore this dress in a wedding when she was 3.  Her mother (my husband's grandmother) was a bridesmaid, so they had a little dress made to match the bridesmaids dresses.  My mother-in-law has been saving this dress all these years waiting for another little girl to be able to wear it.  When she tried it on, it fit perfectly.   So I called my friend and fellow photographer Joni Finkbeiner (http://www.finkbeinerphotography.com) and asked if she had any beautiful scenic backdrops I could use.  This dress required a little bit more than my studio had to offer.  So last week I took Sydney to Joni's studio.  My friend Sheri and Joni both played the role of "Mom" while I played photographer.  I could NOT have done this without them.  Huge thanks to them both for helping me that morning, and to Joni for lending me her studio.  I couldn't be happier with the result.  I'll try to post more favorites later.
