Now that I have pretty much recovered from the craziness of the holiday season, I have a list of things I’m working on and would like to post about in the near future.  I just can’t seem to find the time in my day to get on the computer to share on the blog.  It’s so hard with an almost 2 year old to get anything done!  Can anyone relate?!  So here’s a  quick preview of the things to come:

new logo – check! (can’t wait to reveal!)

new camera – check! (the Canon 40D in case anyone’s curious)

new lens – still researching (if anyone has a recommendation, please leave a comment – looking for a new wide angle, possibly zoom)

new website – working on it, will hopefully go live sometime in Jan or Feb

new brand packaging – arrived via UPS yesterday, it’s so pretty!

studio remodel – done finally!

Upcoming blog posts:

Let me introduce myself (a glimpse into my life before photography and how I ended up where I am today)

Studio remodel (before and after pictures – finally!)

Revised prices (don’t worry, almost all print prices will stay the same, just tweaking a few items)

New Sydney pictures (including some Christmas highlights)

So thank you all for you patience.  I love blogging, but time is not something I have a lot of these days.  My personal family blog is really suffering.  I am just now editing all of my personal images from October-Halloween, November-Thanksgiving, and December-Christmas.  By the way, please be sure to check out the Carter family blog (if you’re bored and need something to do and see online).  I post a lot more pictures of our family adventures and relatives (some nice quality pics, some not-so-nice quality pics taken with my 2 mpx point-and-shoot).  It’s more of an online scrapbook for me, and a great way to keep long distance friends and family in touch with our lives.   I try to share some of my personal life on this blog b/c I really want any clients or potential clients to get to know me more than a photo shoot allows for sometimes.  But  visiting the family blog will give you even more insight into my life outside of photography.

So check back soon and often for new updates and the big reveal of Beth Carter Photography’s new look.  I can’t wait!  It’s gonna be a great year.  Happy 2008 everyone!
